NASA is partnering with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), to use a nuclear thermal rocket engine in space, according to reports.

Both agencies will collaborate on the Demonstration Rocket for Agile Cislunar Operations, or DRACO, program, under a "non-reimbursable agreement."
